in June 2016 under the name
Lapa’au Community Acupuncture,
however, for the time being we continue to utilize our original name.
Our community centered approach allows patients to access the powerful, therapeutic, preventive and palliative benefits of acupuncture and herbal medicine. We benefit the public by providing extremely low-cost health care services for people from all walks of life and all income levels.
We believe that regular access to this type of care, can reduce the incidences of chronic diseases, relieve chronic pain and resolve symptoms of illness when they arise.

Our patients' access to and level of care are never based on any of these factors. We actively promote our services to patient populations who have unmet healthcare needs. |

Dr. Kepi is a licensed acupuncture practitioner in Hawaii and California. She chose acupuncture as her second career after acupuncture had significantly helped her overcome the debilitating side effects of fibroid tumors. She previously ran a successful construction company with her husband Michael and raised their two children. They have four grandchildren that they absolutely adore.
Her passion for community acupuncture was born and nurtured during her numerous visits to China over the course of her studies. Dr. Kepi strongly believes that acupuncture can change the world IF it is accessible.

SAHARA SUN, L.Ac.
aka Jennifer Vires Sahara has been studying various healing modalities since a child. Her background and training encompasses Traditional Five Element Acupuncture, Eastern and Western Medicine, Functional Medicine, Naturopathy, Herbs, Spiritual and Energy Healing. She is in service to help those with complex issues. |
Sahara is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the State of Hawaii (Jennifer H. Vires, LAC #1005) and the National Certificate Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (Jennifer H. Vires, NCCAOM #136978).
She has been in practice offering Traditional Five Element Acupuncture and Holistic Wellness since 2011. She is excited to bring her style of acupuncture, using the Five Elements and other East Asian principals in an economical way to serve the people of the Wailuku Community Acupuncture Clinic. She looks forward to seeing you in the chair!
